Royal Freshman Repair

The Royal Freshman is an interesting amp that I believe was made in the '60s.

Everything on this amp is VERY cheap - except it has reverb and vibrato. The cabinet is made from thin plywood. Check out the grey coupling caps and resistors.

It took a fair amount of work to get this amp to work, but it has a certain tone ... it's tube, so there's something about it that is fun and exciting. It's hard to describe. It's got a nasal, buzzy type of distortion that reacts to your playing.
