Daunorubicin, Daunomycin, Cerubidine Description Daunorubicin is an anthracycline antineoplastic antitumor agent. Daunorubicin is most commonly used to treat specific types of leukemia (acute myeloid leukemia and acute lymphocytic leukemia). Daunorubicin was initially isolated from Streptomyces peucetius.
