Pseudoephedrine, Sudafed, PSE Description Pseudoephedrine (PSE) is a sympathomimetic amine commonly used as a decongestant. Vasoconstriction in the nasal mucosa shrinks swollen nasal mucous membranes, reduces tissue hyperaemia, oedema, and nasal congestion.
